Pure perception is perceiving without the conceptual filter of thought, of naming, labeling, interpreting, analyzing. There is nothing wrong in using concepts, however for the purpose of realizing our essential nature, Asyrmedo teaches us to dissolve grasping for concepts as our primary interpretation of the world and simply allow what is to shine through, unfiltered. Yet because the physical human mind is uncomfortable with concepts such as "infinite" and "formless", the sigil becomes a bridge toward the simple sense of Being always present beneath all activities of thinking, feeling, perceiving, sensing.

Asyrmedo encourages you to become aware of the sigil's presence and see yourself from behind your eyes as if you are looking back at yourself through the sigil and as the sigil. Recognize the quiet presence in the background of all perceiving. It is the same Presence shared with all and as all.
